The "Golden Hues" is a Chanderisilk scarf which can be wrapped around like an evening shawl. Chanderi weaving technique is a traditional form which dates back to the 11th century & still continues to be produced in the region of Madhya Pradesh of India.
The shawl is woven with cotton weft, and pure silk warp and zari, golden thread borders. The motifs which are mainly floral & little mangoes are essentially block prints. All hand made!
Each piece is unique because the movements of the threads determine the slight variations one may see between each shawl of the same designs. Also the block prints style add to the uniqueness of each piece.
It can be worn on both sides because of its vibrant colours on both sides. It can wrapped around a cocktail dress as an evening shawl.This rectangular pure shawl has tassles at the edges which are hand tied.
